Welcome to Adaptism Wear by Sisi!

We're the McAteers, a family from Florham Park, NJ. Susan (mom, tech industry pro, and entrepreneur!), Brendan (dad, legal eagle), Sienna Lee (7), and Vivian Grace (4) are passionate about creating adaptive clothing that's both functional and fashionable.

Sienna, our inspiration, is on the autism spectrum. Like many parents of children with sensory sensitivities, we struggled to find adaptive clothing options as she grew older and taller. We had challenges finding rompers and jumpsuits that could fit Sienna to help prevent her from irritation, chewing, removal of clothing, smearing. Where were all the rompers and jumpsuits in bigger sizes? Why were the "special needs" options so limited in style and color? Why were they only one colors and not designs or pockets and back zippers?

Frustrated with the lack of choices, we created Adaptism Wear by Sisi. Our goal is to empower older children and individuals with diverse needs by providing clothing that looks and feels great while accommodating their unique requirements.
